Played the organ in church In the 1940s they worked on a farm at Wilmcote near Stratford on Avon. In 1948/9 Sarah Ann Dawson, Clarence (Dido) and Jean Dawson spent a working week's holiday on the farm, mainly picking plums. Together with Jack's family they were all accommodated in the farmhouse. The Everetts also joined the party, camping in the garden. In those days the baker called daily. The usual order was for between 15 and 20 large loaves. | |
